Researchers doped double‑walled carbon nanotube fibers with tetrachloroaluminate, boosting conductivity up to ~15x, approaching aluminum and rivalling copper by weight. The dopant degrades in air, but the work maps a path toward lighter, stronger, copper‑like electrical wiring.
NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is finished early and under budget, using repurposed spy-satellite optics. Launching to L2, it will survey huge infrared sky areas, study dark energy, discover thousands of exoplanets, and test next‑generation coronagraph technology.
