A new study has suggested that the widespread use of antibiotics in farming has led to the emergence of bacteria that are more resistant to the human immune system. The antimicrobial colistin, previously used as a growth promoter on chicken and pig farms, resulted in the emergence of E.coli strains that are more capable of evading the immune system's first line of defence. Although colistin is now banned as a livestock food additive in China and many other countries, the findings highlight the potential danger of the indiscriminate use of antimicrobials in agriculture.

United Airlines plans to launch an air taxi service in 2025 that will operate between downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport, using electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft purchased from Archer Aviation. The route is expected to take about 10 minutes to complete, while by car it can take over an hour due to road construction.
